Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth Without Sacrificing Your Waistline

Trying to kick the sugar habit but finding that breaking up with sugar can be harder than you imagined?

Here is a fabulous, healthy, sweet tasting recipe that you can make, eat, freeze and have on hand for those after dinner times when you want to avoid eating a pint of ice cream or half a bag of oreos!

I personally have these ingredients on hand at all times and can easily whip it up for dessert or to take to a gathering!

Decadent and Healthy Chocolate Avocado Mousse

Ingredients:

2 ripe avocados

1 can of full-fat coconut milk

1/2 cup protein powder

1/4 cup cacao powder

1 teaspoon vanilla

Pinch of salt

Stevia powder or liquid drops

Optional: top with cocoa nibs, raspberries, blackberries or any berries, coconut flakes or cinnamon sprinkles

Instructions:

Add all ingredients to a bullet, ninja or larger blender and puree everything together. Adjust ingredients and blend again to reach your desired flavor. Chill for an hour to have cold mousse or enjoy immediately if you don’t mind room temperature. Serve in small bowls topped with cocoa nibs.

Bonus: Avocado is a great source of healthy fat, fiber and antioxidants that reduce inflammation. Cacao powder and nibs both add antioxidants that also reduce inflammation. If you choose to add berries, you have fiber and other micronutrients and the cinnamon is another antioxidant and inflammatory reducing power food.

Enjoy this delicious treat guilt free!
