Dryuary is a concept that is tracked back to the UK in 2011 by John Ore and his wife It began a true ongoing campaign for change in 2012. It's still going strong.
Here are a few noted benefits of Dryuary, or Dry January, which is simply taking a break from alcohol for a month or more:
- Improved health
- Weight loss
- Better sleep
- More energy
- Lowered insulin resistance
- Improved blood pressure
